It all started with the ancient Greeks' realisation of the need to be able to describe more than just one kind of love.
In ancient times, many of the first marriages were by capture, not choice - when there was a scarcity of women, men raided other villages for wives. Often the tribe that the warrior stole their bride from would come looking for her, and the warrior and his new wife had to go into hiding to avoid being found.
Arranged marriages were the norm, primarily business relationships born out of the desire and/or need for property and money.
These days’ women have the freedom to marry whoever they choose, (mostly). Although in some religions peoples marriages are still set up.
“Love is blind”
“Love at first sight”
Love can be blind when you don’t realise it is there. Someone may love you and you do not realise that he or she may be the one for you, and it is like you are to blind to see the love that is there.
Love at first sight is a tricky one. I guess you would have to experience it to know if it can happen. If you see someone that you may want to go after normally it is because of looks. You cant just take one look at the person and decide weather you love them or not.
These days songs about love often refer to jealous love, sexual desire or unfulfilled love.

Well done Hannah - A great effort. You have included some different ideas about love such as tribal love.
Keep up the good work
